Welcome to your own private four-bedroom, three-bath vacation paradise, situated in an extremely unique peninsular back bay location on this tropical island, with gated entrance to its bay front community. Once through the gates and following a meandering brick road with nothing on your left but natural mangroves, you will encounter 21451 Widgeon Terrace. This rambling bayfront home has three levels and is surrounded by lush tropical trees and foliage, and fronts on the back bay. It is complete with extended dock with boat lift, heated pool and spa in an enclosed two level screen enclosure, with garage parking and double wood entry doors reminiscent of old century England. Certainly you will at once realize the relaxation and fond memories in store for you as a result of your stay. This home is located at the quiet southern end of Estero Island. A public marina, dinner movie theatre, and a myriad of restaurants and shops are nearby should you desire to ever leave the property. The island's major supermarket, Publix, is just a short drive away. There is also quick exit via the south bridge to nearby Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and SWFL International Airport. Trolley service is available to the Times Square area, the central hub of Fort Myers Beach, where there is an extended fishing pier and too numerous to count clubs, restaurants, and boutiques. The home has ceiling fans and WiFi throughout, as well as a large laundry room. Entry is into a wood floor foyer with stairs going up to the second and third levels. There is an access door from the entry foyer to the two enclosed garages, plus access to a bonus area, with further access to the screened in pool and spa deck where you will find an outdoor shower. Climbing the stairs to the second level brings you to the main living area of the home. The second level has wood flooring throughout. At the top of the steps is a foyer area with bathroom. The kitchen, living and dining areas are open plan. The kitchen area is very open, with tray ceiling and a vast array of granite countertops, definitely a chef's delight. On the left side of the kitchen, in addition to the granite countertops there is full granite backsplash up to the cabinets. There are glass-paned upper cupboards with recessed lighting, a countertop glasstop range, European style stainless steel venting hood, and built-in eye level microwave oven, with other oven below. There is a granite-top center island, then to the right is a vast expanse of granite countertops with cupboards and drawers below, running the entire length of the kitchen, with windows and a pass-through window to the recessed lanai with its glasstop table and 4 chairs. The lanai also has a gas grill and ceiling fan. Along this side of the kitchen is only the countertops, a European style stainless steel sink in the middle with disposal, and a stainless steel dishwasher below. At the end of the kitchen is a stainless steel double door refrigerator/freezer with ice and water dispenser in the door. To the left of the refrigerator is a door to the laundry room, complete with stacked washer and dryer, laundry sink, and cabinets. Adjacent to the kitchen is the vaulted ceiling living room, complete with stone front fireplace. There is an entertainment center with large flat screen TV, a corner overstuffed armchair with footstool, leather recliner, then matching theatre-style L-shaped sofa with drink holders and end recliners, one with ottoman, and a glass top coffee table. There is another grouping with leather recliner and overstuffed swivel rocker with cocktail table between. On this second level there are almost constant windows or large paned glass doors running from the right side of the living room, across the open and expansive kitchen area into the dining room with bay windows at the other end, all overlooking the second level lanai and balcony, pool below, back yard, dock and back bay in the distance. The dining room is nicely furnished with a glasstop oval table seating 6 with chandelier above, as well as a buffet. The primary bedroom suite takes up the entirety of the third level. The entire area is carpeted, but with tile flooring in the en suite bathroom. There is a sitting area with leather sofa, plantation shutters that when opened look down on the living room and fireplace, and there is a large-paned glass door that opens out to the private covered balcony on this level with tile flooring. There are two other large windows in this bedroom adding to the bright and spacious feeling, and of course offer the views of the pool and backyard below, as well as the back bay and the dock. There is a 4-poster king-size bed with night stands and lamps. At the foot end of the bed against the wall is a chest of drawers with a large flat screen TV. There is also a triple dresser with mirror against the other wall. Past the bed and to the left is a large walk-in closet with custom shelves and drawers, with plantation shutters over the windows. Next is the master bathroom itself, consisting basically of two rooms. To the right, with bay windows as a backdrop, is a freestanding tub. On each side of this room are identical custom marbletop vanities with lavatories and mirrors, as well as dimmable chandelier. There is also a mini refrigerator available. To the left of the mini fridge is the shower and commode room, with nicely tiled walk-in shower with sliding glass doors. There are high windows with plantation shutters, as well as a chandelier. The first guest bedroom is on the second main level, it's very private and accessed via a separate hallway. It is furnished with a queen-size bed, night stand, and lamp, plantation shutters on the windows, a double dresser with large flat screen TV, and there is closet space with mirrored doors. There is also an exit from this bedroom out onto a private deck furnished with lounge chairs. The deck wraps around to the rear of the house where, through a screen door, there is access to the rear screen enclosed balcony. The second guest bedroom is by itself off the kitchen and dining areas, furnished with two single beds, night stand, floor lamp, and built-in cabinets with tile countertops, and shelves surrounding a window with plantation shutters. There is ample closet space. Near the stairtop foyer on the second level is a guest bathroom. Immediately to the left on entering the bathroom is a linen closet, then combination bathtub/shower with sliding glass doors and a high window, and to the right is the commode with privacy wall, then the granite top vanity and lavatory. The third guest bedroom is on the lower level. It's carpeted and has a queen-size bed and chest of drawers. There is an en suite bathroom with tile flooring, complete with walk-in shower and an exit to the pool and spa deck area. Also on the lower garage level one of the 3 garages has been converted to a man cave with football theme and large flat screen TV. It is carpeted and has a separate split air conditioning system. There are two sofas, one of which is a recliner sofa, as well as a coffee table. 21451 Widgeon Terrace is truly a delightful, airy, spacious, and well-appointed address in this tropical paradise! Cancellation Policy

Rent and Fees for the Property are as follows: A reservation deposit of $300 or $1000 (if total amount is more than $4000) is required (the “Reservation Deposit”). This must be paid at the time of booking.
The Reservation Deposit shall be applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 48 hours of booking.


(a) If the Property becomes unavailable to the Guest prior to occupancy, due to no actions, negligence or fault of Manager or its agents (unavailability” under this Agreement is more particularly described herein as “owner occupied”, occupied by guests of owner, occupants of owners guests)Manager agrees, in these circumstances only, to refund the full amount paid to the date of cancellation, and Guest agrees to release any and all claims against Manager and its agents or affiliates. Nonetheless, in the event of such other unavailability of a rental property for other unforeseen or natural circumstances, including but in no way limited to: where such road/bridges prevents a particular access to a rental property or is obstructed from the institution of curfews or roadblocks by a county, HOA, city or municipality, through no fault of Manager or its agents, Manager agrees to use its best efforts to accommodate the Guest by reserving the right to move, relocate, reassign or change the rental property, and Guest agrees that under said circumstances does not warrant in any way justify a refund or reimbursement of rental monies under this Agreement.However, the Manager in its sole discretion may provide a refund or reimbursement of certain rental monies to the Guest if any and all efforts to accommodate Guest have been exhausted.

(b) If, for any reason, the Guest cancels this Agreement after (48) hours from the reservation date, the reservation monies received will not be refunded which is any monies applied up to the date of the cancellation will be forfeited. Guests are given (48) hours from time of booking to cancel reservation without penalty, and receive a full refund of rental monies.

(c) No refund or reimbursement of rental monies paid under this Agreement is due to Guest or its occupants (or will be made) for inclement weather. “Unforeseeable” circumstances may arise which make it impossible or impractical for Manager to provide the anticipated accommodations to Guest.
Such circumstances may include, but not be limited to, scheduling problems, roadblocks, curfews, equipment failures, as well as a fire or other casualty at the Premises. In such a circumstance, Manager reserves the exclusive right to transfer Guest and/or its occupants to another vacation rental property of reasonably comparable value, determined in the sole discretion of Manager, whose determination shall be final. In other circumstances such as acts of God, acts of war, acts of terrorism, hurricanes, wind storms, tornadoes, fires or snow or other natural occurrences, said circumstances not being exclusive, it may be impossible or impractical for Manager to make available reasonable or other alternative accommodations to Guest.In such a circumstance, Manager may return or provide a reimbursement of the payments received from Guest.
Travel or Vacation Insurance is highly recommended to be obtained by Guest, however, Manager makes no warrants or representations to Guest relating to any amounts refunded by Travel or Vacation Insurance. Guest and parties listed above must comply with any and all mandatory evacuation orders, if any.

(d) Cancellations, abandonment or early departure by the guest at the rental property for any reason (excluding mandatory evacuation ) do not warrant any refund of rent to Guest. In the event of a mandatory evacuation order issued by a county or otherwise, Guest agrees to comply with such order, and Manager after attempting to move, relocate or reassign Guest to a comparable or similar rental property, may agree in this specific circumstance to refund, credit or reimburse Guest of rental monies for only the dates affected by the mandatory evacuation. Guest understands and agrees that a partial refund of rental monies may be justified by Manager for only such dates associated with the mandatory evacuation, and no other reimbursement of rent will be approved.

(e) Unforeseen Circumstances. If the subject Property becomes unavailable [as described in section (9) herein, or uninhabitable for any reason, Manager reserves the right to: (i) move/relocate the Guest to a comparable or similar rental property, or (ii) cancel this Agreement without penalty and pending a full or partial return of Guest(s)’s monies depending on the circumstances, and at sole discretion of Manager.
Further, Manager cannot be held liable for any acts of nature or major mechanical failures that would prohibit or limit the use of subject rental property. Guest understands and further agrees that the health of Guest or their guests or children does not constitute grounds for refund.

Travel Insurance: Guest may have the option to purchase travel insurance from a third party company providing such insurance. Payment for travel insurance is due at the time of booking. Such insurance is optional. Upon filing a Guest claim, all rents and other charges are fully due and payable to Manager. Any refund to be issued will be handled through the Travel Insurance Company only.

Please visit to obtain your travel insurance policy or certificate of insurance for your Covered Trip if you have paid for or authorized payment for the travel insurance. The travel protection, if purchased, includes insurance coverage for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Travel Delay, Baggage Delay, Baggage and Personal Effects, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Emergency Assistance, Medical or Dental Expense, and Rental Car Damage. Please read your document carefully as certain limitations, restrictions and exclusions apply. The insurance coverage is underwritten by Stonebridge Casualty Insurance Company and the non-insurance assistance services are provided by CSA's designated provider.
